Shipping in Australia
Flat rate of $10.95 per order for postage Australia-wide (excluding remote areas).
All items are posted via Australia Post. Once your parcel has been despatched you will receive an email from us with your tracking number. If for some reason you are not home when the item is delivered Australia Post will leave a card with details of when your parcel will be available for collection from your nearest post office. Green Pennies take no responsibility for unattended items.
We make every effort to deliver or dispatch all orders within 24 – 48hrs, however Green Pennies accepts no responsibility for delays.
REMOTE AREA DELIVERY if postage costs are too high due to your location, size and weight of your parcel, we may need to invoice you for the additional costs. You will of course have the option of a full refund if this cost is too high for you and you decide to cancel your order prior to despatch.
We use Australia Post to ship parcels world wide excluding North America. Our shopping cart is not setup to reflect international shipping costs at this stage. Please email your order & contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will email you the shipping costs for international parcels which will be calculated by taking into account the weight or cubic weight of your parcel and your destination so as to offer you the fairest price for your order. This does not include possible costs for customs, brokerage, and other fees. You will be responsible for clearing these once your order arrives (if you are subject to these additional charges). Unfortunately we are not able to estimate what these additional fees will be. If the shipping costs are too high you may cancel your order by replying to the email we send you.
You can leave special instructions (in the Comments Box during Checkout) for the order to be left in a safe location should you not be at home and we’ll note this on your parcel, however it is still up to the discretion of the delivery person as to if they’ll leave a parcel unattended. Please note, however, that by doing so you take responsibility should the order go missing after it is delivered.
We can not accept returns if you have changed your mind or ordered the incorrect item, unfortunately more often than not the products packaging gets damaged on the return trip due to the customer not packing the item securely. If we have sent you an incorrect item please contact us immediately and we’ll send out the correct product via Express Post at no cost to you.
Please note that we take great care in packaging and items rarely arrive damaged. If any of your items do arrive damaged please contact us within 2 days of receiving your order and we will (at our discretion) either refund your purchase price or send you replacement items. We ask that you take a quick picture of the damaged item and email to us at email@example.com. This way we can make every effort to prevent it happening again.
If a package is returned to us marked undeliverable, we will contact you to organise re-delivery at your own cost. If you do not respond, you will be refunded the original purchase price but not the shipping charges.
We aim to use as little unnecessary packaging as possible, bearing in mind some items do need bubble wrap, paper or cardboard for added protection during transit. Bubble wrap, paper & cardboard is recycled from packaging we have received from suppliers or elsewhere therefore it is being used for a ‘second time around’. Hopefully you can reuse it also.
Australia Post prepaid satchels have a recycle number of 4. This means the LDPE consists of just under 6% recycled materials (according to the EPA). Please put these in an appropriate recycling bin or find an alternative use for them.
